With the Olympics in the near distance there is a growing discussion about who will be brought in and who will be left out of Team Canada’s roster.

Canada clearly has the most dynamic set of players to choose from. The amount of high quality, first line superstars being left out of this lineup is both exciting and anxiety inducing.

You always want to pick the best fresh players. You also don’t want to leave out any of the poised veterans.

Us at the Good Hockey Podcast have put on our General Manager hats and picked players who we think gives Team Canada the best chance to win Olympic gold.

Cal’s Picks:

Forwards

1: Brad Marchand — Connor McDavid — Nathan Mackinnon

2: Johnathan Huberdeau — Sidney Crosby — Steven Stamkos

3: Mitch Marner — Patrice Bergeron — Mark Sheifele

4: Sean Couturier — Ryan O’Reilly — Mark Stone

Defense
